Hi, I built an embedded commenting system for Hugo (and others), called Talkyard. It’s open source. There’s hosting, so you can use it without any server.

Talkyard is forum software too (see https://www.talkyard.io) so you can create a Discourse-like community at forum.yourwebsite.com that integrates with the Hugo blog comments.
