What code language should I know to use Hugo

Hey everyone,

I was trying to start using Hugo and change some theme to get the result what I want, but couldn’t go very far because my knowledge of coding is very little, to not say none. :expressionless:

So I would like to know, what code language someone should know to build a site in Hugo?
Html is enough or should I learn something more?

I basically want to create a site with a portfolio gallery, about page, blog and a contact page. Nothing fancy, I just want to know how to build it and customize the way I want.

I would highly suggest the section about HTML/CSS, as well as the section on Hugo Tutorials.
