Trademark rules?

Hello Guys,

Wondering, what is the trademark policy of ‘Hugo’ ? Can i use it in domain name like ‘hugothemes/plugins.com’?

The Hugo logo and the domain name gohugo.io are owned by the creator of Hugo.

Hugo may be Open Source software but the name and the logo aren’t.

I’m not concern about the logo but what is the term using ‘Hugo’ in domain name like hugotutorial.com or awesomehugo.com?

It’s always better to wrap unused domains within code blocks in the forum. I edited your post above to include them.

Regarding the question Hugo is available under an Apache 2.0 LICENCE and it explicitly states that:

6. Trademarks. This License does not grant permission to use the trade
names, trademarks, service marks, or product names of the Licensor,
except as required for reasonable and customary use in describing the
origin of the Work and reproducing the content of the NOTICE file.

Please do make the effort to research a bit before opening a topic asking questions that are already answered.
