Render the index.html with /_default/single.html

Is it somehow possible to generate the index.html with the single.html template if I create a content file /content/index.html?

If I delete the index.html template that is created by default and try to render my index.md instead I see only a blank page.

No it isn’t. Not sure why you would like to do that, but I suspect this is connected to the discussion about “the nodes having content”, found elsewhere on this forum.

Thanks for the info. I’m currently try to port the read the docs theme to Hugo and the index page should also contain content that is defined in the index.md.

I tried to use slug, path and url as workaround in the frontmatter but it didn’t worked.
