Hugo theme for a memorial website?

My father recently passed away, and I would like to create a fairly simple website in his memory. Can anyone recommend a Hugo theme for the task?

In particular, I’m looking for a site structure with “photos”, “videos”, “tributes”, etc., subsections. On the main page, I’d like the text “In Loving Memory Of” and my father’s name, Anthony Zaitseff, along with a photo (which could be a full-page background image). I’d prefer a permanently dark theme as this is, after all, meant to reflect a quiet, dignified, serious mood. Multilingual support (in this case, English, Russian and Ukrainian) would be a definite bonus.

I’ve had a look at the Hugo Themes website, of course. So many choices! But nothing immediately leaps to the eye, and no one seems to have designed a theme (or even discussed it here) with keywords such as “memorial” or “loving memory”.

I could, of course, design my own, but if I can avoid the work, so much the better. I’d be grateful for any suggestions – thanks!

I’m sorry for your loss.

An important component of a memorial site/board is moderated commenting, where others can express their condolences and share fond memories. Although an experienced site developer could create such a site with Hugo, in my view Hugo is the wrong tool for this. Instead, I’d use something like kudoboard. There’s a free option and a paid option, currently with a $99 one-time fee. That’s a no-brainer when you consider the value of your time.

I should have clarified: I am not interested in interactivity / (moderated) commenting. If people would like to do what you mention, good old fashioned email to me directly is what I’ll be suggesting. But I do appreciate the suggestions. I already have a domain, https://anthony.zaitseff.net/, available for our memorial site.
