Hugo new theme docs seem incorrect

Looking at hugo new theme | Hugo, the documentation seems to be for hugo new site and not hugo new theme. Not sure if it would be better to report this on GitHub, so please let me know. Also, are there any other official docs concerning building themes for Hugo?

Thanks, but please make some edits:

  1. The issue is actually not about documentation; it is about the help info embedded in the CLI. On the documentation site, the CLI pages are generated by the CLI itself (hugo gen docs).

  2. When creating an issue, it should be specific, limited to one thing. It should not include “On a related note…” or requests for help. That is what this forum is for.

Please note that this is a known issue, reported as issue #11161 and solved via PR #11177. Once the hugo CLI docs are regenerated, this error will disappear.
