Deployed site does not look as the local version

Hi all,

I have built a preliminary web site using Hugo/Academic. It looks great locally (https://my.pcloud.com/publink/show?code=XZKpPw7Z68cl2N1iCV0PUylS8njEP7EdwrDy).

I have copied the entire “Public” folder on the lab server but this deployed version looks awful (https://my.pcloud.com/publink/show?code=XZ90Pw7ZcWLEoWytLiFokmPv3L9YmQmdgasX). It looks like some elements are missing. Yet the doc says that only the public folder needs to be deployed.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The CSS URL est probably wrong. Please give us the deployed website URL.

Check the baseURL setting in the config.toml file (it’s normally the first line). Make sure it’s set to your website’s URL.
