Can I update my current hugo project to the new hugo version?

My current version is Hugo Static Site Generator v0.79.1/extended windows/amd64
I see the hugo update is not recognizable.
What is the command to update the current Hugo project to a new version?

Hugo is not self-updating. The latest releases (and important release notes) can be found on our website or on Github.

So it means that my project will always be stuck in that version… Unless I start a new project and copy the old files? too much work

Wait, what? Are you asking how to rebuild your project with a new version of Hugo? Normally, you just run hugo, and it will rebuild the project.

I get it now, just downloaded ithe new version manually and replace it with the old binary did it for me.
