The site ran fine on local server. I uploaded the public folder to my site:

This looks like a hosting problem, not a Hugo problem.
bikenorthbergen.org resolves to 173.236.29.82, so it looks like you’re hosting with GreenGeeks. You might try contacting their support organization for assistance:

Thank you. I’ll see what they say. I just wanted to first check if any of the files/structure was wrong.
Update: it was a problem with directory name on my subdomain. Customer Service for my webhost found it.
