Upgrade broke my site

I updated brew and it download a new version of hugo and now I can’t build my site in a working state. My previous hugo version was from back in Jan.

Several things are now broken like pagenation. Rather the the “next” links I had it builds the whole site as the home page. Images are now huge, not fitting to browser and it building pages I’ve marked as hidden.

Something very wrong is happening. I’ve gone back and looked at change logs and maybe I’m just missing something.

I did manage to downgrade hugo to a Jan release and it works again but I’d like to use the current hugo. Does anyone know what change might have caused this?
