Updating Footer Copyright Year

Hi,

I created my first hugo website a couple of months ago but now, in 2021, the footer copyright year is still showing 2020. How can I tell hugo to display the correct year?

Version: v0.79.1
Theme: beautiful

The copyright year is generated by this code in layouts/footer.html

Unless you want to override this partial, the copyright info will be updated to the year of the last update to your site. Creating a new page or update an existing page/setting will do the trick.

Following your suggestion, I updated the date in _index.md in content/post directory and the footer copyright year is now showing 2021.

The copyright year should be the year of the first publication.
