Hi,
I’ve got a hugo website. Everything is great and working well.
I’ve put it in a git repository.
When I clone the repository, I got all of the files right but hugo won’t generate the website.
Does anyone had the same issue ?
If you got the source of a Hugo website, you can generate it anywhere you want.
I feel like there’s some information missing from your post so that people like me can help out with your situation. Can you take a look at the requesting help suggestions? That thread contains useful information that helps us help you. 
Especially knowing the actions you performed and gave a different result that you expected would help.

In fact it was not an issue with Hugo but with git (I forgot to initialize a submodule).
