Page Generation for Each Image

I wonder if this is possible with Hugo…

I want to be able to automatically create a page (based on a template) for each image in a folder of the site.

Currently my images are displayed as a gallery, but as these images are all within a page, I can’t get a search engine to correctly index them.

If I can generate a page-per-image, then I can get the images returned by the search.

There are so many galleries around. Guess that’s a solved problen…i could think of sitemaps. But that’s not my topic.
