OT: Images Side by Side

I have been looking through the forum to search for a way to display images side by side. I saw a post about just using HTML img tags or markdown imgs and have them together with no space in between. I have tried that but the images still show up vertical. I’m using the Hugo theme, unmodified

Any other ideas on what I can do ? The images always tend to show up vertically one after the other , no matter what I do.

You question is about CSS and it is OT here, since this forum is meant only for Hugo support questions.

I suggest that you look into CSS-tricks, StackOverflow and similar.
