New HUGO user - Question regarding Console Theme Blog Layout

Hi there

I’ve been playing around with HUGO for the past several hours, got it installed and running fine locally with the Console theme

I’m just trying to set up a small personal blog - Much like Wordpress shows a blog post list, I want to do the same with HUGO and the Console theme.

From the demo of Console, the author shows a blog post list, dated, post title and an excerpt in the section titled “Latest posts”

I was wondering if anyone could explain to me how to recreate that myself? The documentation of the theme is very light and I am having a hard time figuring it out.

I have followed the HUGO documentation on creating pages, section and posts but none of these have resulted in being listed on Console.

Please forgive my lack of experience, learning as I go.

Any help would be much appreciated.
