This took a while! I started about a year and a half ago. It’s been pretty much done in its present form since last summer, I guess, but I’m always tinkering.
There are a couple of other sites that I made with Hugo as well, but they’re both just branches of this design. This is the main event, I guess. Obviously if you see any quirky behaviour, feel free to let me know. I’ve tried to account for all browsers, but unfortunately you just never know what can go wrong in some places.
Is there any place, by the way, where people of similar outlooks can find each other and set up mutual links, by the way?
Hello,
It would be a good to optimize websites for accessibility as well. According to Axe DevTools, for example, there is room for improvement on this site.
Hi, obviously I appreciate comments, but could you be more explicit, please? I’ve done a ton about font and contrast controls for those with visual problems, and alt attributes are doing a lot of work there. I have no idea what else you can be referring to.
Hello,
Please excuse the late reply.
If you check the page using https://www.deque.com/axe/devtools/, for example, there are several possible improvements.
In many cases, the contrast is incorrect. Or some images lack alternative text. And so on.
From my own experience, this is unfortunately an ongoing struggle. So, unfortunately, you always have to pay attention to every detail, such as the “alt” attribute for images.
