So, the layout is one thing; for me this is more about

  • Refreshing a 10 year old tech stack.
  • Eating our own dog food, i.e. building assets (CSS, JS) with Hugo’s assets pipeline.

I noticed too! Just sat down at the desk to take a look.

Yes, very nice looking (in the dark mode). Maybe do an accessibility audit when all is done. I am having issues reading the content links (normal blue on dark blue). The blue links in the footer (“By the Hugo Authors”) seem to be lighter - might be a better color for the content part, a bit more contrast.

I think having all the sub- and section navigations on one side is a good idea. Keeps the eye from searching around.

The accessibility score on Google Page Speed is pretty good, but that is in “light mode” …

Axe core reports 57 issues with color contrast in dark mode (which I never use, just to let you know). And a typo aria-lbabel instead of aria-label

Hit again :rolling_on_the_floor_laughing: and looks like I’m getting to love it.

Thx @jmooring for spending the time here pushing the docs forward.

Thank you.

Centralizing and fleshing out the configuration documentation took many hours, and was made possible by the massive effort that @bep made in v0.112.0 to internally consolidate the configuration keys into one data structure.

I can’t expressed how impressed I am by the overhauled documentation. The concepts are much clearer, everything is nicely ordered and visible. I know that this is the result of years work. Great job. Thank you very much.
