Hugo minify stripped all quotation marks. Now images and javascript won't work

I’ve read this is what minify is supposed to do but when it breaks basic functions of a site, I don’t get it.

Please advise.

We would need a specific example to understand what you are seeing. The --minify CLI option, and any of the minification methods used when transpiling Sass and JavaScript, are well tested and used on most sites.

Thanks for responding. I messed up. It’s working. I had to move my JS to a separate folder. Total amateur move.
