Some time ago I’ve built a Hugo CMS called Hokus CMS.
It is a desktop application that runs on Windows, Linux and Mac. It is open source, totally free.
The thing is, I can’t find people to contribute to it. I don’t know how many people are using it, if they are liking it or not. People are not getting involved.
I believe it can be a great tool for Hugo community, but I need help to achieve that.
Any tips to help to turn Hokus CMS into a great project would be greatly appreciated.
This project is very interesting… But I tried to use it several times (on GNU/Linux), and really I can’t manage to use it.
No real documentation for main config file and site default hokus file for the site.
Default installation didn’t work: can’t edit existing posts for example.
Inconsistent interface: what’s a workspace? Why we have to select each time a site & a workspace: a site must have is workspace. No ?
For testing and contributing we need something more functional and more documented. Something like a sample site, with a default content & a preconfigured theme…
For me this is an interesting project, but in too early stage.
I hope you manage to make some progress on this project.
