Is it possible for a theme to somehow override hrefTargetBlank = true?
I’m using LoveIt and for some reason, it seems to be ignoring it.
I tried to contact the creator but they haven’t been responsive so I thought I may as well ask here.
This doesn’t have to do with the theme. What version of Hugo are you using? Do you have your Hugo config uploaded on GitHub? Most likely, your config is defaulting to the new markdown handler which is Goldmark.
Turns out it was because I had upgraded to the latest version because the theme I’m using required it.
If anyone else comes across this I ended up using this solution.
