Why is Hugo installed in two locations

Hi, everyone! Mac user here with very little coding experience. I just installed Hugo from the tarball and discovered it’s on two folders on my Mac, my user folder and the bin folder that was created. Is that normal? If it’s not, can I safely delete the extra version?

Yes you can.

My two yen: if you followed the tarball install instructions, and have the bin in your system path (that is, hugo version from anywhere returns the version) then keep the one in the bin folder.
