What is .Sites default order

In absence of any Weight parameter set on languages, it seems the order of .Sites is sorted by alpha on the .Language.Lang.

Anyone has confirmation on this? I always presumed it would default to the language set as DefaultContentLanguage but recent tests proved me wrong.
