Use .docx as page source

I have dozens of text-only .docx word documents I wish to use as static pages on my website.
I don’t want to have to manually convert each to .md. Is there a way I can get Hugo to automatically perform the conversion or in some other way render my documents?

Pandoc can do this. We were just discussing this here:

Use pandoc as a “docx” parser, and in fact we could set it up so that a mardown file is generated for hugo as an intermediary step.

Create a directory that houses all your source [DOCX] files. Use a script the processes these files, using pandoc or what ever you want, with an output format of “markdown”, and output into the content directory.
