I’m with ya! Just getting my feet wet, but loving every minute of it. As a refugee from Drupal’s tangled-spaghetti-monster-over-convolutedly-highly-coupled-code, Hugo is a huge breath of fresh air. Back to the command line…

Same here! HUGO is awesome, the community seems pretty active, the documentation is also good.
I love how easy it is to create menus and taxonomies.
Hugo elegantly solves some of the problems I found while working with multi-language sites in Middleman and Jekyll. I haven’t tried those features yet, but I’m looking forward to it.
I’m still wrapping my head around the templating language, sometimes it’s confusing.
