Prism - a modern and vibrant Hugo theme

I recently took the theme I’d been using for my own Hugo blog, polished it up, and finally released it on GitHub. If you’re looking for a clean, distraction-free space for your thoughts, I’d love for you to try it out!

It does not have a lot of fancy features, but it covers all the essentials for a modern blog:

  • Dark mode
  • Image light box via PhotoSwipe
  • Lazy load image
  • Search
  • Table of contents
  • Archive page
  • i18n support

My favorite part is the hero section design. It automatically extracts the primary color from your cover image to create a soft, blended gradient. On Safari, this color flows seamlessly into the browser’s address bar for an immersive UI experience.

If you are new to Hugo or just want to skip the local environment setup, I recommend using the hugo-theme-prism-starter to try it directly on GitHub Codespaces. It will handle the deployment to GitHub Pages automatically too.

quick look and it looks nice :+1:

one comment: I use Chrome on an Android Samsung S22 and the upper menu bar is only half visible.
