Minor cosmetic detail about my avatar

With the help of @jmooring I’ve now upgraded my site to Hugo v0.111 and hopefully stopped some of the bad habits I’d acquired in the old version.

There is one cosmetic detail, I’d like to sort out. I don’t know if this is a theme specific problem or one to do with Hugo as a whole. I have an image which is stored as avatar.jpg but due to the surrounding stylesheet (I guess), it is displaying in a stretched manner.

Is there anything I can do about this. I’m sure my face isn’t that fat!

The image must be square.

Yes, I’d carefully cropped a 234x234 px image and loaded it. For some reason, the automatic change detection didn’t work, so I had to kill the server and restart it. It’s fine now, thanks!
