Hi all, newbie to Hugo here. I have an embarrassingly basic question, please bear with me.
I’m making a portfolio site with Hugo and Github Pages. I’ve uploaded an image into my repo. For the life of me, I can’t seem to access this image. I can’t embed it into a different content file. I also can’t even access it by manually entering the URL into my browser. It doesn’t work live, doesn’t work locally.
I’ve looked through other similar topics. But others seem to have trouble with relative linking. I can’t even figure out my absolute link.
In my repo, I’ve created a folder for assets/images with one image file in there. I’ve tried adding it to content/sample2.md but it doesn’t render. Based on its location in my repo, I would expect this direct link to work as well but it doesn’t: https://quan-h-vu.github.io/assets/images/self-2.jpg
