Hugo_stats.json does not work when added to .gitignore

I’m facing an issue with my hugo_stats.json file. When I add this file to my .gitignore, it stops working. However, if I remove it from .gitignore, everything works correctly.

I’ve tried several ways to fix this, but nothing has worked so far.

Has anyone experienced this issue or knows how to resolve it?

I assume this is with Tailwind v4.
