Hugo Site Preview When Posting URL on Social Media

Hello,

I am not entirely sure if this has a technical term that I am missing, but when posting the URL to my Hugo site on Facebook, the preview looks pretty ugly:

(Compare this to, for instance, posting a link to a Medium article, where you get to see the image and the title etc.)

The same goes for mobile (If I send the the URL in iOS text messaging app, but that’s less important now).

Any ideas on how to approach this?

For comparison, here is what posting a link to a Medium article looks like:

You need to insert the opengraph image metadata. Look at the Hugo internal opengraph.html template.
