I plan on allowing real estate agents to add listings within Netlify CMS which will create markdown pages for each listings. Is there a way to create a search bar that searches for price/area/etc within a markdown file and will output the results?
This is outside the scope of these support forums. Search is an external service with Hugo, and the docs have info about it.
