I am probably in the minority, but I think that now that v0.57.2 is released, the revert done in Hugo 0.57.2 should be reverted on master branch?
That way, people who are building from the master branch will be prepared for v0.58.0 in advance
Well I agree but at this point we don’t know if there will be Hugo v.0.57.3 or do we?
I’ve seen @bep create cherry-picked point release branches.
It’s Sunday.
There was no implication that you do this right now
Hm, could/should LinuxBrew be listed here as well?
They are one in the same now.
Weird, I got 0.57.2 on macOS and 0.57.0 on Linux, installed Linux Brew just now (on Ubuntu 19.04). Maybe I’m on HEAD on macOS and not on Linux?
On macOS brew install
fetched mojave-bottle 0.57.2, on Linux it built 0.57.0 from source.
I changed the wording to “Hugo Brew package for macOS and Linux”.
It seems you opted into the bottle for some reason. By default brew builds from source.
I’m on my phone right now and it’s not like I maintain any of this but I’ll check it out later. I’m curious.
Sorry, I didn’t find time to do it yesterday. I’ll make a note so I remember it next Sunday
Hi! Just a quick note that Hugo v0.57.2 finally successfully migrated into Ubuntu 19.10 (Eoan) earlier today, thanks to help from Ubuntu developers.
