I don’t need any replies to these questions, but I have a few more questions and if anyone answers then great, and if not then that’s ok :slight_smile:

  1. How did you create this tree? Is there an easier way of doing it than typing it out?
  2. Why _index.md instead of _index.html?
  3. There is an _index.html under content/ but I’m assuming www.example.com/content/ wouldn’t work. Does Hugo just treat content/ as the equivalent to the root / at build time? (This is my assumption at the moment.)

If you’re a Windows user, issue the command from PowerShell, Windows PowerShell, or a Linux shell if available.

Although Hugo will parse an HTML file as content (provided it has front matter), you should use markdown whenever possible.
