How much hdd space does hugo take?

For an average install, once it’s all said and done, I am guessing about 10MB?

I am only asking about the space that hugo itself takes, before there are any documents.

You could go to the GH repo and hit the button to download the zip file. Unzip it and voila…

Keep in mind that installing Hugo also means installing the docs, which is a really nice feature for offline use…

The hugo executable (Windows, 64 bit) is approx 20 MB.

The executable is all you need for a functional installation.
