I have the same issue. I did all the suggestion in this post, but still have this issue. Can someone help?
The first time I commit, the public folder get pushed to the github pages without any problem. But later, I was never able to push to the github page repo. I tried to manually add the files in public folder to another local repo and pushed it the github page without any problem. I just don’t know why I can’t commit the public folder from my blog repo to github page repo.
