Heading levels

I am currently writing a Theme for Hugo to use it for my personal Blog and Website, and I noticed that I can’t figure out how to set the heading level.
I already googled for this a lot and searched on the forum and looked through the docs but can’t find anything.

With TOC level I mean, that a # Heading is not rendered as h1 but for example a h3 and so on.

If you’re talking about Markdown processing, then I’m afraid you can’t change that. Markdown standard says that # is H1, ## is H2 and so on.

Thanks, I guess I will just change the styling in CSS to make the headings have the sizes I want.
