Disable taxonomy pages but retain term pages

Is this still the case? If so, does that mean creating a tags branch bundle with build options?
How to disable taxonomy pages but not taxonomy term pages? - #3 by jmooring

I’m not in a position to verify this at the moment, but look at the last comment on the issue.

This comment? (I get the same file structure)

Did you clear the public directory after changing your site configuration?

Yes I did. Taxonomy page returns error 404 (I think as expected?)

I think I’m missing something.

With this content:

content/
β”œβ”€β”€ posts/
β”‚   β”œβ”€β”€ _index.md
β”‚   └── post-1.md  <-- front matter: tags = ['foo']
└── _index.md

And this site config:

baseURL = 'https://example.org/'
languageCode = 'en-US'
title = 'My Site'
disableKinds = ['rss','sitemap','taxonomy']

[taxonomies]
tag = 'tags'

The published site looks like this:

public/
β”œβ”€β”€ posts/
β”‚   β”œβ”€β”€ post-1/
β”‚   β”‚   └── index.html
β”‚   └── index.html
β”œβ”€β”€ tags/
β”‚   └── foo/
β”‚       └── index.html
β”œβ”€β”€ favicon.ico
└── index.html

My result…

── tags
β”‚   β”œβ”€β”€ news
β”‚   β”‚   β”œβ”€β”€ feed.xml
β”‚   β”‚   └── index.html
β”‚   └── opinion
β”‚       β”œβ”€β”€ feed.xml
β”‚       └── index.html

So what’s the problem? The taxonomy page is not published.

No problem at allβ€¦β€œI think as expected?” was a question.

Hugo is doing exactly what it should be doing.
