Copying Raw HTML to /public

In #12008, all html files were made to behave as a page resource rather than getting copied into public. In previous versions, it was possible to make HTML files render as-is by having no front matter.

I have some HTML files which are computer-generated simulations (see the last link on this page. Previously, I was able to include these in my webpage as html files without front-matter were copied to /public on build. Is this no longer possible?

You need to place them in the static directory.

Thanks for your help and for all the work on Hugo!

Placing the files in /static/project/<project_name> did the trick.
