I think @RickCogley will agree, we could use the Canned Replies plugin for Discourse. We could break up the help request topic into bite-size chunks (and include a link to the full topic), and that would be really handy.
Github has it built in, too, and it might help redirect people who are asking support questions there, be sent here.
Also while we’re at it on a slightly different but related topic, the Reddit sub could use sidebar info to send people here, instead of asking for help on the sub.
