Best practices for Sitemap.xml

Hello,

I have finally finished my first Hugo project and am really impressed.

Particularly I’m impressed with the sitemap generation. Everything is being taken care of.
But there is one question I have.

Google Console allows you to upload the Sitemap.xml, but due to multi language support there is a situation.

The main sitemap at the index has only has three entries for the three languages I’m supporting. But the has no other link.

Under each language sub folders, there is another sitemap.xml that lists all other urls (blogs etc).

Do I upload all of them to Google Console? Or just the main one with three links?

The main one should be enough.

However the question is not on topic though. There are other channels where you might get a better reply than mine. Search the web.
