Ananke: Quick Start breaks after first "hugo server -D"

I wanted to work through the Quick start guide.

However, after adding content and executing hugo server -D for the first time I get this error:

ERROR deprecated: .Site.Social was deprecated in Hugo v0.124.0 and will be removed in Hugo 0.137.0. Implement taxonomy 'social' or use .Site.Params.Social instead. Built in 33 ms Error: error building site: logged 1 error(s)

My hugo version:
hugo v0.136.0+extended darwin/arm64 BuildDate=2024-10-15T13:17:24Z VendorInfo=brew

I understand that the version of Hugo I installed is the latest and is one in which “.Site.Social” is deprecated. But why does this error occur in the first place? Does the guide need an update or am I failing at something?

Until that’s addressed, use v0.135.0 or earlier. I’m hoping it’s addressed in the next day or two.
