Why my post is a directory and not a file?

Just installed hugo and ananke theme.
Created some posts. Im surprised that thoses posts are reachables as :
https://foobar.com/posts/my_first_post/
Instead of
https://foobar.com/posts/my_first_post.html

how come ? how to get an html file instead of a directory.
