What kind of variable is .Resources?

Browsing the documentation I wonder what kind of variable is .Resources? I could not find it in https://gohugo.io/variables/

I would guess it is a Page Variable and should be listed here: https://gohugo.io/variables/page/

But I am not sure.

I guess they could be moved out of /content-management/ but not sure yet.
