Simple tool to embed Flickr images by album

Hi everyone,

I’ve been tinkering with Hugo for a travel/adventure blog.
I wanted an easy way to embed images from Flickr. The workflow I envisioned was

  1. Use some photo app to upload images to flickr. One album per post.
  2. Use the figure shortcode from the twentyfourteen theme to embed images.
  3. Use the flickr api to generate the shortcode for every image in the album
  4. Put the shortcodes wherever I want to in the post.

I wrote a quick and dirty tool + shortcode to retrieve all the images in an album and print out the shortcode with the title and caption filled in.

I figured it might be useful to others.
