Shortcode for tag list stopped working

For quite some time, until very recently, this link worked

[topicspage]: {{< ref "tags/topics" >}}

It produced a list of all the pages with this in their headers:

tags: 
 - topics

I’m not sure why it stopped working across all my sites. I wonder if there is a better way to do this.

I’m afraid this is related to this, but that seems never to have worked, while my lists only just stopped working.
