Server.go error

Hi,

Hugo server has stopped working on macOS Sierra. It was installed with Homebrew.
The following message is displayed:

ERROR: 2016/10/13 14:51:10 server.go:219: Error: listen tcp 127.0.0.1:1313: socket: too many open files in system

That is all info I could find after enabling verbose logging. Please help: I can follow instructions for the terminal, not so well for scripts, unless they are detailed. Thanks,

Updating homebrew and then updating Hugo has fixed it for many. Have you done that yet?

This happened in the lastest version of Hugo, v0.17 BuildDate: 2016-10-07.

I restarted the computer a couple of times to no avail. But all of a sudden it is working again. I don’t know how.
