Sections, pages have stopped rendering

I’ve made many hugo sites, and am using a theme and structure I have used many times. I’m developing a site locally and it suddenly stopped rendering the sections and pages. The index page is listed below for just the sections, my method for pages is is similar. Hugo server shows that pages are being rendered but I don’t see them in the /public dir. index.html is below.

I deleted content > index.md and undeleted it and the site came back. Weird!

Sections should have _index.md and not index.md.

Interesting, as I have been using index.md, but I’ll switch it. Thanks!
