Ordering frontmatter items as in archetype

I’m interested in using Hugo archetypes to ease the creation of initial content across range of content types. Is it possible to force the ordering of the frontmatter items to match the archetype? As of right now Hugo seems to order the items in alphabetical order when writing out content.

Thanks. I didn’t realise that issue was this deep. I’ll keep an eye on that GitHub issue.
