More text after the cards from subfolder

Hi,
I am creating a webpage (GitHub - mavens-group/mavens-group.github.io) using research group template.
My research section is arranged as:

research/
├── _index.md
├── MD
│   ├── featured.jpg
│   └── index.md
└── ML
    ├── featured.jpg
    └── index.md

The problem is, the content of _index.md
appears at the top, followed by the content of [MD,ML]/index.md, which opens when clicked.
But, I can not put any more content after all the subfolder’s list is over, eg, I want to put a ‘visit the openning in my ** pages’ as the last line of the page.
How I can do that?
