Menus: how to do add horizontal lines or headers within menu

I am trying to organize my menu links by using headers such as WORKS IN PROGRESS, MANUSCRIPTS, AROUND THE WEBS, etc…

Is it possible to:

  • insert headers without making them linkable
  • insert hr (horizontal lines) into menu navigation

Please let me know if this is a theme question

It’s possible and it’s a theme question. Check for the layout that creates the menu/navigation and see if it’s already included. Some menus allow to set dividers by naming the menu point “divider” or “–”. But in the end it depends on the theme.

The same with “unlinked” menu items. If the theme is done well then you should be able to add a menu point without a link.
