Is there any way to add an SQL database to a Hugo site? (Newb question)

I have something I proposed here which works for me. Perhaps you can generate pages like this. But that’s about all. There is no way to have a user roles system in a static site.

Generate Pages from Database (for large inventory)

The moment you are using a database for something is the moment you should know that it’s not something that you want to create with a STATIC SITE GENERATOR. Don’t get me wrong: you probably will be able to create whatever you want to achieve with Hugo, but: do you want to? No, you don’t. A “catalogue” page is not something that you should do with Hugo. The same way as you won’t buy a Mercedes car to play your cassette tapes.
